That the nomination papers of the, persons who are at present standing as Moderate candidates for tho Licensing Committee, and wlx> are claiming to be independent, ivero in 1906 taken in to Mr Maxwell by Mr Charles Speight, of Speight' and Co., brewers. 2. That the full lists of voters for "tie! trade" for the whole city, compiled at great expense by the agcnW of the licensed victuallers at last election, would be in use on Com-: iniUeo .election day. 3. That all the cabs in the city had been engaged months ago by Mr Hnydon, licensee of tho Central Hotel, on behalf of the L.V.A., and that these cabs would lie used to take these lists of safe liquor voters to the poll to vote for this very independent Committee. As also their nominations were handed in by Mr Speight in 1906 it is manifest that,'whatever they consider themselves, Mr Speight considers that tbey will suitably represent tho interests of Speight and Co. If they repieri-nt Speight and Co. they cannot tepresent the people. On Monday evening next at the Alhambi-a Tlieabe at 8 o'clock a final rally will be held. Dr U. E. de Lautour and Mr 11. 1).
