INTEIU'OVINCIAL TRIAL FOURS. UPPER HAUIiOUJ! GREW WINNERS. A race of I'onsidcrable interest in rowing circles behveen an Upper Harbour crew, picked by Mr C. Slatham, and a Port Chalmers crew, selected by Mr F. Keenaii, for the honour of representing Otago in the inlerprovincial event at Waibola on Anniversary Day, was rowed last, evening. The course traversed was a mile and a-ha'f, starting between a point on the Portobello fide and a laiulmark at Raveiishourne. It iinished at the tongue wharf. The Upper Harbour crew was composed of J. M'Gralh (stroke), 12.12: J. Kerr (No. 3), 13.8; E. A. Stevens (No. 2). 12.8; A. C. l'atorson (low), 12.0; and D. M'Laughlin (cox), 5.10. The Port Chalmers crew wore:—J. Glengarry (stroko). H-JOj A. Carw (No. 3), 11.4; K Atlieltl (No. 2), 10.5; "F, Nelson (bow), 10.10; and Handle Smith (cox), 5.7. The Port crew went down the harbour in Uie launch, (owing their outrigger, but the other boat was rowed to the startingpoint. Given a fine day, this should prove a most delightful outintr, and some interesting races should take place, as all the crews have been training hard for some time.
