Lite Mayor of Auckland (Mr Arthur Myers), who is about to pay a visit to Kngland. formally tendered his resignation at tho close of a meeting of "the City Council this evening. Several eulogistic references were mado by councillors to Mr Myers's valuable services during his four years' of office, and he was presented by the councillors "I'd municipal ollicers with a handsome portfolio and address.
