The Miners' "Union passed a resolution deciding to take legal action against the mining companies for the creation of a lock-nut in January last. It was resolved to forward an invitation to the Hon/ ],'. M'Kenzie to visit Flection during his We-sl Coast tour. The president, vice-president, and secretary were appointed a deputation to wait upon him in respect to various matters in connexion with the mining industry. The North Brumier Cual Company has let a tender for a bridge across tbe Grey River at Stillwater. The structure is tobe completed in six months' time, when it is anticipated that the company will be in a post-ion to place coal on the market.
