Exhibition matches between Wilding and Parker in. singles, and Wilding and Grossman v., Parker and Fisher in doubles took place this : afternoon on the Eden and Eosom Courts. Parker's hitting was very crisp, invariably well directed, and'.his shots frequently coaxed Wilding out of position by clever manoeuvring. In the doubles Parker and Fisher beat Wilding and Grossman in the first set (6-4. , The second set went to Wilding and Grossman (8-6). At this stage Wilding retired. Wilding, Parker, and Fisher left by the express this evenin" for Wellington, en route to Nelson.
