Arrangements are being made for a visit of scientists to the Chathams in February. ■ The president of the Philo-' sophical Society (Professor. H. B. Kirk) has communicated with the presidents of other societies with the view of ascertaining what members will he able to take part in the expedition, and wmlics are coming in.
