PORTOBELLO ROAD BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Porlobello Road Board was held at Porlobello on Thursday, the members present Messrs Dickson (chairman), Burt, M'Cartne.y, Bacon, and Seaton. It was resolved to call for tenders for Mra Wilson's new road formation, at per chain, and tho metal at per yard, tho tenders. to be separate, and forwarded to Mr John Bacon, Broad Bay, not later than .1 o'clock on Saturday, Decemlier 5. Messrs Aslin and Bedford wrote that Mr Nordgrin had sold sections 6 and 7, block 111, Oban, to Mr J. T. Wilbrune. The Taieri County Council wrote stating that a conference of local bodies would be held in the Town Hall, Dunedin, when the election of members for tho Hospital and Charitable Aid Board takes place. A letter on the 6ame subject was received from the Hawksbury Borou«h Council. Mr T. M. Mercer wrote stating that he had no interest in the property at Broad Bav for which he was assessed, and intimating that he would not 1>» responsible for any more rates.—Received."
