(Per Uhitsd PSess Association.) 1 NAPIER, November 26. The O.'C. and D. Company (London) cabled to-day:—"Frozen meat weaker. To-day's quotations: Canterbury mutton, 4d; Napier, Wellington, and North Island; 3£d. Lambs: First, quality, s?d; second, sid. , Beef: Hinds, 3jjd; .fores, 3ad,". PROPERTY SALE. Messrs E. L. Macassey and Co. held a very successful propert-v sale yesterday. Tho first lot offered was Mrs Batohelor's property, situated in Queeh Alexandra street, St. Clair, being allotments 1 and 2, block XI, St, Clair, and 7a, St, Clark Tark, together with a dwelling of sevon rooms and other buildings • thereon. Competition for this lot was keen, and, after spirited bidding, Mrs Pihillips became the purchaser at £1070. The second property submitted was allotment 2, block'lll, Ilillsido township, area 8 poies, with two 6hops, dwellings, and other buildings thereon. . Bidding for this lot was likewise brisk, and it was ultimately knocked down at £305 to Mr Mercer. HIDE SALK . rress Association—By Telegraph-Copyright. MELBOURNE, November 26. (Received Nov. 26, at 10.5 p.m.) At the hide sales to-day there was excellent competition. Supplies were moderate. Kips and light sorts were id higher, and other sorts were firm. Messrs Stronaeh, Morris, 1 and Co. report a 6 follows: —Wo hold our, fort-nightly sale of hides at our stores on Thursday, when wo submitted a catalogue totalling 306. fiiero was a full attendance jf buyers, and competition was very good for all descriptions at prices fully up to last &ale 6 rates. We had nothing of exceptional merit in ox hides on our catalogue and our top price was 7g<l, paid for one weighing 781b.
