The Daily Mail's New York correspondent advises that a person named Montefiore Myers, a fashionably-dressed Jew from Australia, who gave a London place of residence has been arrested at PittsBurg for grand larceny. Myers pretended that he represented the Rothschilds, who were intending to invest £40,000,000. He was introduced to the best circles. He is charged with stealing lumber bonds, and also with having failed to pay his deposit on an oil option, Myers, who characterises' the charges as based on perjury, was for two months the honoured guest of the Pittsburg magnates, and. was feted at civic banquets, Many letters, written in a familiar style, and portraits from princes and eminent women, ( were found in his possession.
