At the half-yearly meeting.of the Bank of New South Wales, the report showed that the net profits were £167,928, which, with the sum of £33,988 brought forward, made a total of £201,916. A dividend of 10 per cent, was declared, £46,000 was added to the reserve, and £36,916 was carried forward. The Chairman stated that during the year their advances had increased by £1,915,000. There bad been ii considerable demand for money for development purposes in New South, Wales 'and Queensland. In New Zealand also their business was very active. The drop in prices in Australian products had been arrested, and the outlook 'was distinctly mora encouragin|. <
