There was a large attendance of the public at Messrs Park, Reynolds, and Co.'s auction'rooms yesterday, whan that firm conducted an auction sale of freehold properties. The sale was a very successful one, as although on Eglinton property and Selkirk section did not find purchasers, sales wero effected as follow:—Mr J. A. Burt's property, being part section 3, township of Selkirk, Roslyti, and modern seven-roomed house thereon. Bidding commenced at £700, and after animated competition (•cased at £1020, at which figure Mr Reid became the purchaser. Mr J. Davidson secured section 37,. block I, Primrose Hill, Mornington, containing 38 poles, with a final bid of £55: while a. Warrington prop?rly, containing 6 acres 1 rood 18 poles, was competed for up to £45 10s per acre, and at that figure became tho property of Mr Paterson. o ■
