About 80 members of the various organisations connected with St. Andrew's Church gathered in the church hall last night, when a complimentary social was held in honour of Mr J. F. Foster (choirmaster) bore testimony to the services rendered-to the church in many ways by the guests of the evening. Dr Waddoll, in one of his felicitous and humorous speeches, presented Mr Shaw and Miss Connell with a silver and oak tea tray and a silver teapot from the Sunday school teacher*, the Christian Endeavour, and Go Forward Societies, and the Biblo classes. Mr Williamson was the recipient of a silver cake basket from tho choir. Several excellent musical .items and, some impromptu spocelies on the .marriage question added much fo the enjoyment of the ovening, and at its floss a liberal supply of refreshments was provided by the ladies. /
