Stocks of Now Zealand on hand are light, and firmly held in a few hands. Canterbury lamb, 5Jd: other than Canterbury, sd. Beef.—The market has collapsed. Supplies of. River Plate chilled beef aro heavy, awl arc selling at lower prices than frozen. New Zealand hindquarters, forequarters, 3W, Rutter.—The market is temporarily depressed. Largo buyers have withdrawn from the market, and prices have declined. Ihe supply exceeds the demand. Current quotations! Choicest New Zealand, life; Australian, 114s; Danish, 124ji; Siberian, 120.1; Argentine, 114s. .' Messrs Dalgety and Co. report as follows:—We held our wdekly auction sale of grain and produce at our stores on Monday, when we submitted a full catalogue to an average of buyers. Competition for most of the liites on offer was fairiy brisk, ami a fair clearance resulted at prices about on a par with lato rates, Values ruled as under: —

_ Oats,—The market is depressed, with no improvement to roport as to the demand existing. Business has been found impossible at lute quotations,/and values in consoquence show « decline. Values ruled as under:— _' Oats.—At the reduced prices ruling there is good inquiry for,prime ftartons. local stocks of these ate, however, practically exhausted, and the few- holders are not disposed to accept current values. Other classes of oils have only spasmodic inquiry from shippers, who buy simply to fill actual onto. Wheat.—Slocks of milling wheat aro now in very small compass, and any Jots offering are readily taken, by millers. Fowl wheat is scarce, and nearly all orders aro being supplied withmedium milling quality. Seconds and broken wheat is in fair supply, hut is not greatly in favour with buyers.
