The manager of the New-Big River mine reports as follows:— Eastern'roof :■ In No. 7 stopo the rcof is.Bft wide; in No. 8 stope, 7ft wide; in' No. 9 slope, 3ft wide; and'-in iNo. 10 stope, 2ft wide. Branch roof: No. 6 stope has been driven up to tho blank ground. In "No.-7 stope the reef is 10ft wide. No. 9 winze: The roof in the north end is tno full size-of the winze; in the south end it is broken and niullocky. No. 8 level: There is no change to report from prospecting. No. 7 level is being repaired. Usgrovc's Block: Tho reef has now been proved a length of 25ft. During the week the reef'widened' considerably.
