ODDFELLOWSHIP.
The fortnightly mooting of Ihc Loyal' Albion Lodge, jj.U.1.0.0.F., was held on' Thursday last. Tho N.G. presided over ,r largo attendance, and a fair amount of business was transacted. Two candidates wore initiated and throe proposed. P.fi. Bro. C. VP. Smith reported having attended; the meeting between the meniliers of tlw British Medical Association and the delel gates from tho. Friendly Societies' Dispon-\ sary Committee, and I'.G. Bro. Kennedy on: attending the meoting''-of -the Hand and ■ Ifcait Jubilee Celebrations Committee. Tho feature of the evening—the initiation con»' petition: for P.G.'s and 6)M,'s—was then prooejtlcd with. The following ; brethren competed:—P.S. Stabb (Albion), G.M. Lyon (Hand and Heart), PIG. Davis. (Dunedin),;P.G. Hutton (Valley), and .'GX Currio" (Prince of Wales), ' fro. 1 Trcas: Bro. Hamel, who acted as judge, gave complete satisfac., tiotf to all present, and 'awarded the' prize' (which was a handsdnie walking-stick) to P.S. Bro. Stabb (Albion). The following-, brothers responded to the second toast:— Y.G. Wolfe (Valley), N.G.'West (Dunedin),' UM. Lyop (Hand and Heart), P.S. Pilling fTuapeka Pioneer), and "to tho third toast Pro. Tresis, Hamel. ' ■
