Nearly 2,000.000 people left London for holiday resorts, and 400,000 went to the Exhibition. A MISAPPREHENSION. '• SYDNEY, August 4. (Received August 5, at 0.37 a.m.) The attention of some of the leading opticians here lias been called to a paragraph in a Wellington paper of July 13 stating that a Sight-testing Bill on the linos of the New South Wales Act of 1906 would be introduced. There is no such act on the Now South Wales Statute Book. A hill was introduced in the Legislative. Council, but failed to get beyond the first leading.
