(Received August 2, at 4.50 p.m.) 11l the Houso of Commons, after the Speaker had admitted that it was a breach of privilege, the amendment moved in the House of Loids by Lord Cromer, limiting the duration of the Oldage Pensions Bill to six years, was deleted. V Lord Killinan's amendment to the Irish Universities Bill was also deleted. { The Houro of Lords acquiesced in the House of Commons' amendments, and passed both bills, hut in the case of the Odd-age Pensions Rill it adopted by 37 vote to 23 Lord Laiisdowne's resolution declaring that while not insisting upon tlie amendments the House, of Lords did 3i(it accept the reasons oflered by the House of Commons, nor dad it consent to their being hereafter drawn into precedent. The bill, it was contended, ivas not ono granting aids or supplies, and involved a. question of policy affecting the treatment flf neceaatoiis persons n heicin both Houses were concerned. * ______
