Hutton then proposed, and Bro. Dalton seconded, a hearty vote of thanks to all who assisted in making the first meeting a pronounced success. The meeting then closed with the National Anthoni. : Tho usual fornighiy meeting of tho Loyal I Excelsior Lodge, No. 41, P.A.F.S. of A., ' was hold in the Protcstaait. Alliance Hall, Green Island, on Friday, July 24, tho W.M. Bro. John Walker piesiding. The lodge was roportcd to be making steady progress both in funds and membership, iiav- • ing now over 100 members. It. was re- , ' solved to celebrate tho thirty-second anniII v«rsary of the lofLe with a pound night n 1 on August 25. It was ako resolved to pay a s I visit to Triumph Lodge next Friday, the i. ■ 31st. inst. A letter of sympathy having a ■ been sent to the Rev. John Kilpatrick in y his present illness, a very kindly letter was 0 received in. repiy, in which it* was stated ! 1 that he was making a very satisfactory recovery.
