At the Police Court to-day a young man named Storr, who staled that lie had arrived from Hastings on Saturday, and was starving, was sentenced to two months' imprisonment on two enarges of theft from shops, the articles taken being boots and fancy goods. CHRISTCHURCH, July 27. Sunday was almost summer weather, but last night a severe frost, prevailed, and the hoar frost was lying for two hours after sunrise. By noon the weather had changed to warm sunshine, and all trace of tho frost was gone.
