TEACHERS CLASSIFICATION.
In the last (J.izcite the Minister of Education publishes the annual classifiea- • tion list of teachers, from which wo learn there are employed in public, institutions 2791 Cully classified teachers—namely, 1468 females and 1323 males; 24 provisionally (ertilicatcd—l7 females and 7 males; 90 licensed—s3 females ami 37 males. Of these there are four provisional in Otago and Southland and 17 licensed. There are a number'of promotions in classification throughout the list, and tho following arc in Otago and Southland or have been in the past and are engaged elsewhore.
