OTAGO ART SOCIETY.
The annual gcnorul meeting of the members of tho Otago Art Society was held in Mr Joachim's ollice, Vogcl street, last night. There were about a dozen members present, and -the ohair was taken by Mr G. Joachim (president). Tho annual roport and balance sheot has already been published. Tho" President, in moving the adoption ot the reiK>rt, congratulated the Society on. the success of the last exhibition, nud noted tho greater takings a-t the dcor. The exhibition did not quite pay its way, though it more nearly did so than tho exhibition of any previous year. He ( thanked tho owners of valuable pictures who had lent them toTiic gallery. Mr W. A, Bollard seconded the motion, which was carried. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr George Jdaohim; vice-president, Dr \V. S. Rcberts; coun-cil--Mrs Hockcn.
