Daster) to tho fact that I the board was collecting £1900 a year moro in rates than was required to produce the interest on the various rating loims, and [ at the close a motion was carried strongly . objecting to any further loans for the board 3 until the present rales had been adjusted in favour of the ratepayers. It was also 3 agreed to write to Sir J. G. W»Td ox- ". plaining the position of the ratepayers, and s asking that their interests should be prof tected, as well as those of the bondr holders, when the bill for the new loan , was under consideration.
