Suddenly she heard the report of a gun, and rushing into the front room found Dunn lying prostrate, with a gaping wound in the region o£ tiie heart, and Rosier standing near' by in an "veiled condition, with tho gun in his hands. A police sergeant was called in. and, on examining Dunn's body, found that his watch had stopped at seven minutes to 8, and that a glass in the room had sbeen shattered by the 6hot. Tho gun found m.Rosier's possession was a doub'o-bnr-fy relied breech-loader. Rosier is 49 years old, and son of J. IV. Hosier, a well-known gunmaker in Melbourne.
