OTAGO DOCK TRUST.

The usual fortnightly meeting of the ' Otago Dock Trust was held last evening at. Port. Chalmers, those ' present ■ being Messrs E. G. Alien, M.P, (chairman), W. : Barclay, G. B. Bullock, E. Gcdfred, J. Mill, W. Gow, and A. Cable. Apologies ' for unavoidable absence wore received from Messrs J. M'Donald and G. L. Dcnniston. COBBESPONDENCE, The Secretary of the Otago Harbour Board wrote is follows:— "Referring to your Icttcy of the 15th ult., conveying resolution of your trust with a view to amalgamation with the Otago Harbour Board, I beg to inform you that at a special meeting of the board it was resolved • to accept the proposals of the trust (as contained in tlio resolution of. the trust) as a basis of amalgamation, and that the secretary call for all documents and information bearing thereon. I would, thcrc--5 fore, be glad to be furnished with all i documents and correspondence relating to the trust's affairs, particularly in connection with tlic loans, debentures, and holders thereof, the new dock contract, the guaran- ! toes of the Union Steam Ship Company and Port Chalmers Borough Council, etc., I and of all correspondence on documents on these and other matters."—Received; information sought, to be supplied. BEPORTS. The Works Committee reported having oarefidly considered tho proposal to erect a verandah on the railway side of the packing shed occupied by R. S. Black, same to be sufficiently large to cover one truck, and had issued instructions for erection of same at a cost not exceeding £10, subject to approval of the railway authorities.
