INDIGENT GENTLEWOMEN
THE NEW INSTITUTE.
(Pep. United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 11. The first meeting of the Board of Control of the Institute for Indigent Gonrlewomen, canstiwited under the will of the late Mr Alkai M'Lcan, was held to-day, when the committee was appointed to formulate a policy and to arrange the duties of a secretary. The lward resolved at its next meetin;; to proceed lo the election of two women as members oi the board in terms of the will.
