The first meeting of the Board of Control of the Institute for Indigent Gonrlewomen, canstiwited under the will of the late Mr Alkai M'Lcan, was held to-day, when the committee was appointed to formulate a policy and to arrange the duties of a secretary. The lward resolved at its next meetin;; to proceed lo the election of two women as members oi the board in terms of the will.
