MELBOURNE, April 9. (Received April 9, at 8.30 p.m.) The New Zealand bowlers played their third match against Victoria to-day, and were defeated by 121 points to 95 points. The match was played on tbo Carlton Green, which was in perfect condition. There was a fair attendance, and glorious weather prevailed, The New Zealandcrs were heartily welcomed.

Goldatou-e and Waxman bad an even game until the sixth end, when the New 2ealanders were leading by 2. In the next five ends the Victorians failed to score, giving the visitors a further lead. Waxman then gained several singles, and' folowed by. a brace and a 4. At the twentieth end the New Zealanders were leading by 3, but Victoria, scored in the Tcmainiii;; ends. In ice first coven heads in the game between Bishop and Stephens the visitors scored only 2, which were made in the opening end, Victoria getting 9. In the next 10 ends Victoria scored 6, fivo cnd3 yielding nothing. At the tenth end Victoria led by 4 points, but at the twentieth end the game evened up by steady scoring on the part of the visitors, who were then leading by 2 points, Victoria got 4 in the twenty-first end, and followed this by a pair and a> single. Tho visitors scored 3 in the twenty-fourth end, but failed in the last end.

Hain, met Smith, and at the fifth end the latteT got 7 in, making his total 9 as against the New Zealanders' 3. In the following eight end! Hain increased his score to 16, while Smith totalled 10.
