PENINSULA ROAD BOARD
Th® regular meeting of the Peninsula Road Board was held on Saturday, and was attended by Jlessrs M'Curdy (chairman), Black, Gair, and Weir. Mr Thomas Landreth was present with a petition requesting the board to have tho road through the "Oaum" Estate gazetted a public road.—The. clerk was instructed to take tho necessary stops in conjunction witli the Portobello Road Board. The Clerk eported that a tender had been accepted from John Jury for 100 yds of metal in Wcstfold's quarry, Mr Weir reported that somo noccssaiy work of widening road was required at Sandymount, and also asked that some repairs be effected on Dick's road.—Agreed to. Accounts amounting to £12 16s wero passed lor payment.
