OIIRLSTOHUIUTT, December 17. , -tj lo Arbitration Court has made awards in the Canterbury Curriers' and Bootmakers' disputes.

Overtime: Timo and a-quarter for tiie first two hours, timo and a-half after that-: wages to be Is 2d per hour; tho regular lioliduys to Ik) recognised; the employers to iirnl all tools; oho unskilled worker to lie allowed to every six or fraction of six curriers: apprentices not to exceed one to each three or fraction of the first three journeymen; preference to bo given to unionists In the lwotmakers' dispute it was urovided that the award shall apply to the clicking, making, finishing out sole, cutting, and repairing departments; preference lo be given to unionists; hours of work (unless mutually arranged) to Ik; between 7.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. on five davs of the week and from 7.30 to 11.45 on the recognised half-holiday; wages to bo not less than a shilling per hour; employer to be permitted to employ his hands for part of a day, but for not le.'w than four hours; apprentices at tho rate of one to every three or fraction of three men in tlw clicking department, and in the making and repairing department one lo four. The provisions of the award are to apply to 'Christchurch and suburbs only.
