LONDON, December 16.

There was an explosion in the Dinas colliery, Uilfeachgwh, Glamorganshire, while' the bulk of tho men were being paid their wages.

Out of 12 left in the pit seven were killed through burns and shock, one was injured, and the rest were rescued.

NINETY MEN ENTOMBED,

NEW YORK, December 17. (Received Dec. 17, at 10.35 p.m.) An explosion in a. mine at Yolande, lieay Birmingham, Alabama, resulted in 90 men being entombed. Forty groped their -way to the surface within an hour. Tho rescuers found a number of corpses.
