MR ALLAN M'LBA.YS BEQUESTS. LARGE SUMS LEFT" TO RELATIVES. The late Mr Allan M'Lean, of Chrislehureh, left large sums of money to several of his relatives—notably his nieces. The foliowins are some of the bequests provided for in his will:—

To his niece, Mrs Mav Elizabeth Gee, wife of >1r (!. F. Gee. manager of the National Raul;, Wellington, £100,000. To his other nieecs, Mrs Ruby M. I'ollwlon, wife of Air A. C. Rolleslon, of Christchnrch, an<l Fannio Kay, £50,000 each. These bequests are placed in trust. Both may fall back into the estato in certain circumstances set forth.

To Mr W. F. M. Buckley, Mr M'Lcan's nephew, £50,000, to be held in trust bv Messrs A. C. Rollcston and St. John M. Buckley. After Mr \V. F. M. Buckley's death the sum of £10,000 will be hold in trust- for his wife as lon£ as she remains a widow.'

To the daughter of Mr Edward Richardson, jun., insurance agent, of Christclmreh, bv his late wife, £1000, to be held in tnra. If she docs not reach the nife of 21 the siim will po to the daughters of Mr Edward Richardson, sen., of Wellington. To Miss Mary Alexandra Henderson, of Cliristchurch, £5000 in trust. In certain circumstances half of that sum will go to Mrs T. Morrow, of Cliristchurch, on the death of Miss Henderson.

To Mrs Phillips, Mr M'Leaii's housekeeper, the sum of £3000 a year is left, with the risht of occupancy at tho Holly Lea, property, in Manchester street, which will be the building for tho M'Lean Institute. That sum will be paid to her as long she is a widow, but if she marries again the annuity will be reduced to £500. Mrs Phillips i 3 not allowed to dispose of her right, to occupy tho property, but provision is made by which she can arrango with the Board of Governors to relinquish the occupancy, To Mr George M'Lean, of Waikakohi, £100 ,i year is left.

The following; sums have been bequeathed to the women sorvants in Mi M'Lcan's service at tho tirao of his death

To Frederick Collins, an employee, at Holly Lea, £100 is Riven. Articles of jewellery are given to several relatives, 111 a codicil Mr Gee h miiioiufod a. trustee, and U t;iven £1000, and the sum of £20,050 is left.to each of his daughters ill trust.

anil Mr B. M. llol.ynca.ux, of ChristehuTch, and each will rceeivo £1000 as an acknowledgment of their trouble. The will is dated July 20, 1904, and the codicil November 23. 1906. Hie residue of the estate, as announced previously, will lx> given up to tie maintenance of the M'Lean Institute for Gentlewomen. '
