The usual monthly meeting of the Duncdill , French Club took place 011 Tuesday evening. The principal item.was a lecture by Mr. G.' E. PRESBYTERIAN SABBATH SCHOOL - ASSOCIATION. A largely attended meeting of. Presbyterian . Sunday school teachers was held on Tuesday evening in Knox- Church Hall. At the invitation of the teachers of Knox, Church Sunday School, the teachers assembled about ha'.fpast 6 and partook of refreshments, after which an opportunity was afforded' to walk round and inspect tho various class rooms in the building. Thero was also. time foi' social intercourse before the . after meeting. : A plan' of'tho Jewish Tabernacle and a large.' relief map: of Palestine 'were on exhibition, and. were inspected with-much interest. As showing the interest that is taken in these.Sunday school teachers' meetings, it may be mentioned that teachers attended Jrom towni as far away a? Middlemarch, Kag Swamp, * ' Brighton, Mosgiel. and Port Chalmers, and, needless to say, the attendance. of these _ representatives met with due appreciation. After each subject had, beon introduced an opportunity was afforded those present of joining in the discussion or asking" questions. There was much of value and o! inlerest both in . the papers and the personal experiences of the various speakers, and thoso present were grateful for the opportunity afforded of meeting and of listening to Iht helpful and stimulating addresses.
