Mackenzie's letter of July 17, I ivould like to point out that lie quotes the statement of the editor of tho .Palmerskm and Waikouaiti Times, but ho fails to mention the correction in a later issue in which the editor admits having published a wrong interpretation of tho telegram lie received from Wellington.—l »»>• C*C., E.
