MELBOURNE, July 18. The Capital Site Bill has been introduced. It names Dalgety as the proposed site.

The Wireless Telegraphy Committee's •eport recommends nine stations on the

Australian coast and in New Guinea for wireless purpoees, (Sydney being placed as of first importance. The conference sees no necessity for establishing communication with New Zealand, since it would be of use only in the remote contingency of the three existing cables being cut. THE MAIL CONTRACT. In the House of Representatives members strongly urged the importance of providing refrigerated space in connection witli the new mail contract. The Post-master-general announced that the State Governments had been asked to co-operate in securing refrigerated space, -and tlielr replies were awaited.
