HOSPITAL TRUSTEES

The ordinary meeting of the Hospital Trustees, held yesterday afternoon, was attended by Messrs P. Miller (chairman), S. Solomon, A. K. Tapper, .1. Mill, J. Robin, and 'Dr Riley. .An apology for absence wa6 received from Mr Wills.

Receipts for tho month of June amounted to £1102 9s 8d and for the current month £116 16s 3d. Tho bank pass book showed a credit balance of £Ml 4. The building account had a credit balance of £2161- 9s 7d. A sum of £955 13s 6d had been received as subsidy on donations and contributions for year ended March 31, and placed to the credit of the general account: The committee recommended that applications lie mado to the Hospital Board for £656 13s W in payment of salaries and accounts for month of June.—Adopted.

The House Committee reported that tho footpath ami side drains round the nurses' 'homo had been thoroughly repaired at a cost of £10. The hot-water tank supplying tho Miller-Houghton ward had been repaired and removed to the basement. ' The architects reported that the contractor had made very good progress with the new medical pavilion during the last month. The plastering in the upper floor was practically completed, and the lower floor had been first-eoalod. CORKESPONDEXCE. Dr Falconer wrot« in reference to the application of the Registrar of the Otago University for permission to allow students of the Dental School to attend the general hospital, stating that before ho could report on the matter it would be necessary to know—(l) the number of students likely to attend after the Dental School is in full swing.
