Store sheep were rather dull of sale in consequence of the shortage of feed, and fat lambs and fat sheep sold well, the latter showing a decided rise. Tigs were in good demand, especially stores, and there was an improved demand for dairy cows; but store cattle were unsaleable. There was a small mixed yarding of store sheep, and .prices were somewhat easier, competition being slow. The principal lots sold were: Ewes, 127 sound mouth at 12s lid, 59 at 12s 9d, 52 at 12s Gd; 227 aged at 8s 10d, 102 at 5s 2d, and smaller lots at 9s 10(1 to lis 3d. Hoggels: 55 at 12s Ed. 45 at lis lOd. 86 at Us 9d, 73 at lis 9d, 72 at lis sd, .87 at 118 Bd. Wethers: 401 sold at 17s Id. 84 at 14s lOd,. 52 at 15s lOd, 81 at 14b Cd. Thero was small yarding of lambs, made ;up mostly of unfinished • lots Anything at all prime sold a little better than the previous week's rates, and othet sorts were without change. Prime lauib3 made Ids to 19s 6d, and lighter, lis to 14s Gd. ■Chore was a fairly large yarding of fat sheep including some prime lines of ewes and wethers. The inevitable rise in prices consequent upon tbe falling off in supplies manifested itself, all classes selling at Is to Is Od per head better than of late. There was a good clearance, tho demand keeping up till the close of the sale. The range of prices was: Extra prime wothers, 27s Ctl to 31s; prime, 21s to 26a 6tl; lighter, 16j lid lo 20s Gd: prime-ewes, 19s to. 23n; medium, 15s to 18p Gd; aged, 12s to 14s Gd; prime i»evi>i,-i wethers, 16s 6d to 19s 9d. The suppy of '«;-f totalled 301 head, and included some prime lines of alation cattlo. There was a. got>d saie nt latq rates. Steers brought' £6 10s to £11 15s; heifers. £5 10s to £8; and cows, £4 12s to £3 17s Gd, cquol to 22s Cd to 25s tor prime, and 20s to 22s for medium, per lOOlb. A good yarding of veal calves sold at 7s Gd to 60s.
