DEATH UNDER CHLOROFORM.
A man named David Martin, agod 61 years, died vestcrday morning while undei chloroform in a private 'hospital. Dcc<yisca was a- farmer, and ca-mc to Duncdin froin Spreydon, Canterbury. An inquest will be held at 45 Stafford street at 2.30 p.m. today.
Tlw both' of ~1o!m Marsh, who was drownwl in* the Molyneux River on Sunday evening, was recovered on Monday afternoon'. At tho-time of the fatality Marsh was assisting -ill* Johnston to take a punt from one side of the river to the other. An accidcnt ocourred at tho Kailangata coal mine on Monday evening whereby a miner named James Fibbes sustained injuries which necessitated his removal to Duncdin Hospital yretorday.
