BREACHES OF THE STAMP ACT

(Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Juno 26. In tho Police Court to-day F. B. Winslono pleaded "Guilty" to six charges of committing breaches of the Stamp Act. Three similar informations against .1. S. Dickey were heard. It was stated that the offences lay in not having stamps properly and effectively cancolled, as provided by law. Tho defendants had niado no attempt whatever to evade tlio provisions of the act. Sir Dyer said there wero technical errors in the cancellation of stumps, and a certain element of carelessness was shown, but there was no intention to tinfraud t.ho revenue. Winstono would be fined £1 and 47s costs, and Dickey £1 and 21s costs on the first- informations, and convictions would bo 7ecc?!ed in the others.
