(Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 3. The insurance on tho varnish factory which was burned at Avondale yesterday was £750 in the South British office. PALMKHSTOX -NORTH. May 3. At 10.30 to-niu'lit a, f ir o in Pascal street destroyed an eight-roomed house, which was occupied by Mr F. Ryan and owned by Mr CoUinison. Nothing was saved. The furniture was insured for £?50 in the Commercial Union office, but the insurance on tlio house was not ascertainable to-night.
