As a result of the London Chamber of Commerce poll on the question of trade preference, 1077 voted for preference anrl a tax on imports, awl 472 against. The Tariff Commission has issued calculations illustrating the working of the various schemes o£ British tariff preference on colonial produce. The Times comments on the significance of the Chamber of Commerce decision, because the chamber had long been undecided. The poll was taken at the request of the Freetrado members. Tho Prime Ministers are determined to take a very resoluto stand in the discussion on the question of trade preference.
