MEETINGS.
A meeting of the Pioneer of Dunedin Lodge, 1.0. G.T., was held .in tho Lower Choral Hall on Tuesday night. Bro. Cook (Acting C.T.) was in the chair, and there was a very largo attendance of members and visitors present. The event of the evening was " question box " and harmony. Tho following rendered items: Bros. Whale. Pcreira, Helm, Wills, and M'Lean. 'J'h-e following responded to the vote oi thanks to the visitors:—Bros. M'Kcwen, M'Cormack, Wlia'.e, I'ereira, and Helm. The session was closed at 9:15 by the presiding officer. A meeting was held in tho St. Kilda. Motho(list Church on Wednesday evening with a view of forming a Mutual Improvement Society. Mr E. Aslin was voted to tie chair. After a littlo discussion it was resolved to form the 'St. Kilda Mntnnl Improvement Society. Tho following office-bearers were then elected for the ensuing year:—Hon. president, Hov. R. F Williams; president, Ik T. Ashton; vice - presidents — Messrs Aslin. Lipgins, Cameron, and Kempton; ,-Tecretary and koasurot. Mr P. C. Haynes: organist, Mr Herbert, Brooke; reporter anil editor of journal. Mr Walter Beck;, conimit-teo—Mrs Sell, Misses Cooper and I. Cherry, Messrs Harvey and Brown. The society will bold its meetings on Thursdays, opening on tho 25th iiist. with a social evening, when members and intending members will be c.qrdially welcomed.
