THE LAND BILL. (Pir United Pekss Association.) DARGAYILLE, March 26. The Leader of the Opposition (Mi Massev) addressed a laigc audience last night. Ho lelatcd tho work of his paity in the House, and said that many of tho Opposition measnics lmd been adopted bv the Government. He dealt exhaustively with the Land Bill, condemning tho endowment scheme, and advocating the optional claure. Retelling to Native Kinds, he adversely criticised the Government's ad ion, and favoured vheio possible placing -tho Maori and tho pakeha on the same footing. Tho lomainder of the speech was on tho lines previously lopoited, Avole in favour of the fiochold was carried with only threo dissentients.
