DUXEDIN ANGLICAN CLUB. The following are the terms of the report to lie submitted by tl)e conimillee at tlio annual meeting of the Dunedin' Anglican Harrier Club:— ' : IJuring the seasrai 10 runs took place, all oi which wore well attended (Ibe average attendance baing 13 out of a folal membership of 20), and all the runs wero thoroughly enjoyed. The membership roll has increased from 15 in the first season to 20 in the second season, and though some of the members are leaving yoijr committee, hopes that this .doming season may be begun with the membership roll increased, H3 there already arc several promises of new members. As resolved at the lust annual meeting, the club in the early part of, the season became affiliated to the olsgo Centre of Ibo New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, which was a step of great advantage to the club, as it afforded the members the opportunity of taking part in all sports meetings held under tlic allspices of |lio association, as well as the Cross-country Championship and inter-cluh races hold during tho sear.oll, and it also carries the right to have the club represented at the centre meetings. Mr Smith, who was elected the club's 1-epresnnlativ-e, found it impossible, on account of examination work, (o carry nut his duties in attending the meetings, and 1 ho accordingly resigned in favour of % Lilly, captain of the I'bih. |)urjng the pcasim two club races worn held. The first, the Mile Handicap, was run lit Talmuit Park an May OK, and whs won by |l. S. Rcid, \vilh O. 11. This proved a very good and exciting race, and ovfluliwlly finished in a dead heat between K. M. licid and A. Wood, the Scaled Handicap being won by S. Maxwell. The club took pail in a combined run given by Si. Joseph's Club on July pi, and they entered ,i team in the lntcr-club Race, hold at Wingatui im August 11. This loam, 'consisting o( L. CI. 1.i1.y, E. UryKiil, A. Wood, C.'H. Perry, and P.; Wilson, though not amongst (he teams placed, yet earned the distinction of heating teams from clubs of longer standing than our own. and next season your committee hopes to see tlio club placed much higher up on tlio lift. Your committee feels thai a feature of the past season, which tended to nuke it so successful, was the large number of invilalion runs so kindly extended lu the club, and for which the club is greatly indebted to the following parsons:—Tho lievs. Canon Kinn, 11. It. Bedford, ami (I; \Y. Harding, Mrs AV nodman, and Messrs James Allen, Washer, Talbuj'F, Herbert Somerville, Slatham. Pope, audi .Harrison. And tho chili is also indebted for prizes and contributions towards the prizo fund to. Messrs James Allen, G. R. Ritchie, Tu|koy.=, Washer, Herbert, itproton, Lilly, and Smith. The club's thanks arc tin? to tho various farmers whose land was made use of for runs during the season, and also io tho press for publishing so many notices and reports, and for tho kindncsr, shoivu to tho oiuh on different occasions, as also to Messrs 11. L. James and H. Shrimpton for the use of Talutur. ar.d lforbury Park?, mi which grounds the club races were held. As regards the finances of the club, they will start the Hew season with a small credit balance.''
