(Per United Press Association'.) GREYMOUTH, March 18. Ar the convention held to-day under the auspices of the West Coast- branch of the Xcw Zealand Alliance, tho following resolution was carried by standing vote—" That Ibis convention desires to express its deep appreciation of the service rendered to (he cause of humanity by the late Archdeacon Williams, a man of broad mind and large•lienrt'edncss. Ho was in deep sympathy with every movement which had for its object the uplifting of his fellow men. To the No-license cause ho has rendered literal financial help throughout his long and useful life. While expressing our admiration of his noble Christian character, we deeply sympathise with tho mem--Ikm of his bereaved' family in the loss they have sustained, and pray that tho consolations of the Great Head 'of the Church may bo theirs in their time of .sorrow."
