KILLED BY A FALLING TREE.

(Per United' Press Association-.) THAMES, March 18. Elja Lepsieh, an Austrian. 1 aged 27, was killed by a falling tree at Wharekaw'a, near Thames, yesterday. Some of deceased's relatives wore engaged in felling a largo, tree, yyhicii unexpectedly crashed down, carrying with it nnotlior tree, which struck Tjppaioh on the head. He was rendered unconscious, and died shortly afterwards. His companions carried him through this bush over rough tracks to tho Thames, a. long, -weary journey, arriving here after many . hours' tramping. The fatality wao purely accidental.
