A young man named Frederick Butcher was gathering cones fropi n pine tree on Saturday, when he slipped, falling on top of a fence, with the "result that, both of his wrists, one leg,'his jaw. and his nose were broken. lie was conveyed (o the hospital, and is in a critical condition.

Frederick' llqoker, 51 years of age, was admitted to the Hospital yesterday from Clydevale. suffering from the effecis of a gun accident. On Sunday he was trying, with the aid of a nail, to extract a carlridge from a breech-loading gun, when the cartridge exploded, scorching his face and singeing his eyes.
