LONDON, February 21.' Sir H. Campbell-Bannerman, replying to the Peace Society's appeal, wrote that bo adhered to the opinion that the question of armariients should be discussed at The Hague Convention if possible.

In the House of Commons to-day Mr Asquith' announced that tlio conference at The Hague tfould probably assemble in June.

It was stated recently that it was understood t hut Russia and Germany, and perhaps France also, did not think that the question of disarmament was ripe, for discussion. Router's summary of tlio Czar's final programme for tho conference makes no mention of disarmament.
