AVLLLINGTON, January 28. At the Magistrate's ■ Court to-day twa informnJions wore brought against tho father of a bed-ridden consumptive alleging that tho latter was a, destitute person, and 1 had been from August 19, 1906, wholly or in part maintained by tho Onslow Borouglii Council at a. cost of £45, and that defendant, being able to repay, an order against him for tho amount should bo made. Tho father is tho owner of real estate to tho value of £4042. It appeared that the son recently sold a business at Petono for £260, and that tho house in which ho lived had! been conveyed to hjm by tho father. Tho Magistrate said that tho case would have to be dismissed; but ho would givo a written judgment. • 1
