ANNUAL MEEHNC4.
The twenty-second annual meeting of tlio New Zonland Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Association was held at the club rooms on tho 12th, There was.a. huge attendance of members, and the president (Mr R. Hudson) occupied Iho chair, Mr 1). M'Pherfion (vice-president) occupying the vice-chair.
In moving the adoption of tho annual report and balance sheet (already published) the Chairman said it was extremely satisfactory to note that the profits for the year had been £683 16s 9d, made up by an increase in the Permanent Relief Fund of £72, in ihe association account of £173 19s 9d, and in this Mortuary Benefit Uund of £437 176. The lotal funds of the association were, now £5796 4s Id. In addition to tile ordinary amounts written off for depreciation, members would notice that a further eiim of £50 hud been written off tho furniture, reducing the value standing in the books to £150. Tho original cost had been £600, tho total amount written oil having been £154- 10a 2d. Regarding the Mortuary Benefit Fund, ono of tho principal funds of the association, , he could say the assets supporting it and tho others were of a solid and realisable nature, which was an object of paramount importance, and ono which the committee would ciljvaye keep steadily'in view. Tho election of office-bearers resulted as follows:—President, Mr i\ H. King (proposed by the chairman and -vicepresident); vicc-preeidonls — Messrs D. M'Phereon. F. Peake, R. Turnbull, W. U. Gordon. John Mitchell, and "W. Binnio; committee—Messrs W. Prietor. A. Wright A. H. Bridger, F. Mitchell, C. S. Owen,' A. G. Barclay, and J. G. Marshall; treaBurer, Mr James Todd (re-oleetod); auditor, Mr J. F. Poake (rceleotcd).
