Received .lan. 25, at 11.8 p.m.) In October last a thousand sovereigns wore stolon from the steamer Navna. while on a voyage to tho Island?. Efforts lo trace Iho robber were fittilo until tho (Jovernmcnt yesterday offered a stimulant in tin , slmpo of a hundred pounds reward and 10 per cent, of any money recovered. To-day tho police arrested a man who was formerly a ecainau on the Navua on suspicion. Four hundred pounds wore found among his possessions.
I'ho money stolen from the Xavua was placed in tho strongroom just before the vessel sailed from Sydney on October 16 on her Island cruise.
