In our notice yesterday regarding the installation of electric lamps for the veranda-h of the premises of Messrs R. H. Scott ami Co. and others in Princes street, a. mistake was made in referring to that firm as .1. and K. Scott. Robert, lioden. a farmer at Wee Wan, (Xew South A Valet) mixed a cup of arsenic for tho purpose of poisoning sparrows at his farm, left the poison on a. table, and went, out lo get wheat, to mix with it, when the eldest- daughter, agerl 17, eame in and d ran if the contents of the clip, believing it to ho water. When her father diseovered what- had happened he immediately convoyed the girl to the local hospital, but she died soon after admittance.
